Bio

Dr. Hopf is Professor and Vice Chair, Department of Anesthesiology, Adjunct Professor of Bioengineering, and Senior Special Assistant in the Office of Faculty at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. She received her BA from Yale and her MD from Dartmouth. She completed surgery internship at the University of Minnesota and anesthesia residency and research fellowships at UCSF. She was on Professor of Anesthesia and Surgery and Associate Director of the Wound Healing Laboratory at UCSF before moving to the University of Utah in 2006. Dr. Hopf’s research focuses on preventing surgical site (wound) infections. She is past President of the Wound Healing Society and serves on the Editorial Board of Wound Repair and Regeneration.
