Holly Korzendorfer


Dr. Korzendorfer has a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Chapman University and a Doctor of Philosophy in physical therapy from Nova Southeastern University. She began her wound management career working for the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in West Los Angeles then continued to focus on wound care at several skilled nursing facilities and acute care hospitals in California and Connecticut. Dr. Korzendorfer was a case manager at an outpatient hyperbaric wound center where she conducted her research before transitioning to durable medical equipment and wound care industry roles where she was a Director of Research & Education, Vice President, and Chief Innovation Officer.

In 1998, Dr. Korzendorfer became a Certified Wound Specialist credentialed by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) and worked on the specialty exam committee for several years.  Currently, she is serving a 2-year term as a member of the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Specialization Academy of Content Experts (SACE) for wound management.

Dr. Korzendorfer has provided wound management instruction to various Physical Therapy Programs as a guest lecturer and adjunct faculty since 2006 in addition to several continuing education modules on various platforms.  Dr. Korzendorfer has also published original research and review articles, been a content expert reviewer and serves on various advisory boards for academia or peer-reviewed professional journals.


Dr. Korzendorfer’s credentials are: Ph.D., PT, CWS (Certified Wound Specialist), FACCWS (Fellow of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists)
